I was born in NYC right around the time many consider the golden age of hip-hop. I first encountered the artform around 1988 and instantly became a huge fan of all things hip-hop. It was weird to many within my family and my community as it wasn’t something that was huge in the heights yet. Later that year I moved down to spanish harlem where it was what everyone was listening to so the move in ways exposed my curiosity even more. Eventually I started memorizing lyrics of artists and learning to reconstruct their flows which led me to start writing and practicing it more and more. During my teens I would do a freestyle exercise where my friends and I would walk a mile or two and freestyle about anything and everything we saw. I started out on the circuits and ciphers predominantly as a big words plus punchline battle emcee. The rest of my life has consisted and revolved around music, the love affair that never dwindled. I love this culture, I love the music, I love the passion that goes into crafting a track. Regardless of the general perception of Hip-Hop there is still an element that is not mass marketed and that’s where the cream of the art truly is. Total creative freedom bridging both listener and song into a moment of time. In 2008 I released my first EP “Hater free”, in 2009 I released the follow up “Velvet Summer”, in 2010 I released “My anthology”. I am currently in the middle of recording my next album “Alpha and Omega”.
